Peace Camp is an ecumenical camp for K-5th and middle schoolers who will be CIT’s (counselors-in-training) hosted by St. Andrew Presbyterian, Longmont UCC, Community UCC, and First Congregational UCC. This year Peace camp is hosted by St. Andrew. Our theme for our 2023 Peace Camp is “Become a Changemaker!”, an interactive half-day camp where children learn that everyone can make a difference in the world! We will explore five Bible stories that show examples of people who experienced and brought about change in the world around them. These stories provide a model for asking hard questions, working together to solve problems, reaching across differences, caring for all people, and imagining a new world. Through worship and drama, storytelling, STEAM activities, and active games, children are invited to see and experience the transforming love of God. Grounded in God's love, children will discover that they, too, can use their unique gifts to make a difference wherever they go!

Peace Camp Volunteers Needed!

If you're interested in volunteering for Peace Camp this year, we'd love to have you! Peace Camp volunteers can lead activities with kids, help with set-up or snack, or other possibilities depending on your interests. There's also room on the leadership team if you'd like to help plan and coordinate Peace Camp. Volunteers will have a background check and church safety training before the event. Contact Rev. Amelia at adress@ucclongmont.org or 303-776-4940 with questions or to volunteer.
