Regarding Christian Education

The Christian Education program of this congregation exists to promote and enhance the spiritual development and education of our members of all ages and stages, and to Extend the Reach of Christ by actively welcoming members and others to participate in Christian Education programs.

Christian Education for Children

·        Provide a safe and nurturing environment from birth through age 2 during Sunday School and Worship.

·        Provide age-appropriate Biblical and spiritual learning opportunities for ages 3 through 6th grade during Sunday School, using a variety of resources designed to engage the learners in a variety of ways as they learn the stories of the faith. Current resources include Bible Zone Live and Come Join the Circle.

·        Provide age-appropriate worship experiences and extend Biblical learning through Children’s Worship for age 4 through 4th grade, beginning after the Children’s Chat. We use Seasons of the Spirit resources in this setting.

·        In the summer, usually August, we provide Vacation Bible School in an evening intergenerational setting.

Youth Ministry

·        See Philosophy and Vision of First Congregational United Church of Christ Regarding Youth Ministry in the Youth section of this website for details.
